Course Description
A challenging course with a variety of surfaces. After a gradual uphill start on pavement, the rest of the 1st mile is a gradual downhill on loose dirt and dirt road. For runners who went out too fast over the deceptively downhill start, the second mile is particularly brutal. It features one of the toughest hills we run all season. It is short, but steep, has poor footing, and is just about exactly half way into the race. At the top of the lone major hill is a gradual uphill on loose dirt trail. The last mile features rough terrain and gradual uphill until a gradual downhill that ends with a sharp turn into the stadium for the kick to the finish.
