Team highlights

-As a team, we recorded 10 PRs, 10 PCRs, and 3 Season Bests!
-The boys team finished 9th out of 23 teams. The girls finished 14th.
-The times the girls ran will put them in contention for a top 5 finish at Regionals if they are able to duplicate their performance.
-Josiah Valenzuela became the 6th runner this year to break 19:00. He finished 5th for the team, scoring for the first time!
-Ben set a Personal Course Record by 3:30. Josh set a PCR by 3:09.
-The boys pack (1-5) was separated by only 85 seconds. The girls top 5 were within 65 seconds of one another. This is the first time this season the girls have had a better pack than the boys.
-15 new times were put on the Top 10 lists. Paul lowered his time at #2 of all boys, and is now 5th out of all runs by Juniors. Ben lowered his time at 5th on the all time boys list and ran the 4th best sophomore time. Josiah put his name at 10th on the all-time list, and 5th on the freshman list. Athletes of the week:
Boys: Paul Gallogly
Running with heart and determination, Paul recorded a truly impressive time of 17:31. This time is the 5th fastest run by a junior in the last 5 years and an improvement of 19 seconds over his old PR. It was also good for 18th place overall.
Honorable mention for the boys goes to Josiah Valenzuela, who ran a very impressive race and changed the entire complexion of the boys team.

Girls: Kat Bergman
Of the 10 PRs ran as a team, Kat's improvement of 58 seconds was the second largest improvement on the entire team and the biggest on the girls team!
