Team highlights

-The boys team placed 14th out of 35 schools! They were 3rd out of all the 4A schools competing in the meet.
-Eight of the 15 people who ran in the race recorded PRs!
-We had several “mini-breakthroughs” to start our “Breakthrough Week”: David Powers led the team for the first time and nearly broke 18 minutes; Sean Zimkas went under 19:00 for the first time; Nick Wilson broke 20:00 for the first time; Robby Giese broke 21:00 for the first time; Connor Brewer went from 27:04 to 25:37; Taylor Anderson broke 25:00 for the first time; Kat Bergman broke 28:00 for the first time!
-The top 5 boys were separated by only 32 seconds, their best pack running of the year, and by far the best 1-5 pack of any team in the race!
-The top 4 girls were separated by only 66 seconds, their best pack time of the year!
-For the second straight race, nearly everyone on the team ran their 3rd mile faster than their second mile!
-Five runners set or improved their marks on the Top 10 lists: David’s time was good for 3rd All-Time and 1st on the Sophomore List; Sean’s time put him at 7th on the All-Time List and 10th out of Sophomore times; Luke’s time was the 7th fastest by a sophomore; Ben’s time was 9th fastest by a sophomore; Audra’s time was 9th fastest by a freshman!
