Team highlights

What a way to start the season! In our first race of 2021, we had exceptional performances up and down the roster. For the girls, we ran 6 PRs and only one of our runners didn't run a PR or complete their first high school 5k. Maggi Morrell stamped her name to the girl's team Sophomore Top 10 list with a new 8th place mark and Rose Cox finished 2nd on the team in her high school debut.

The boys finished 3rd as a team, led by Ethan Kimminau in 5th place with a new Freshman school record. Keaton Morrison finished 9th and ran the 8th fastest sophomore time in team history. Ryan Vsetecka finished 5th on the team, making 3/5 of our scoring 5 freshmen or sophomores.

As a whole, our home meet went like clockwork and the team ran like it was the end of the season rather than the very beginning. Great things are to come with this group!
